Turns out that taking care of a garden is only the first step. Keeping up with the produce is the real challenge...never had that problem before. Today I am making bread and butter pickles. Most of my previous attempts at canning have been less than satisfactory, sitting on the shelf til we finally throw them out. I have high hopes for these pickles. Fingers crossed. Then there is the zucchini......
When I started quilting, I thought it would be a good way to use up scraps I already had. As with any hobby I quickly found out that more tools were needed. Then I realized that more fabric was needed to match what I already had. Fifteen years later and I am back at the beginning, making scrap quilts to reduce my stash of stuff. Thus, I spent 1 hour cutting fabric scraps into 2" strips. This is the first step in a nine patch quilt. I know this probably doesn't sound fun to you but for me I am embarking on a creative adventure.
We want photos!!!
ReplyDeleteGood job with the garden. I've never had too much produce, except basil.
